Help me Obi-Wan! This home planetarium from Segatoys is shaped like everyone’s favorite little spunky astromech droid and projects up to 10,000 stars on your walls or ceiling using an incredibly efficient 1W LED bulb, and runs on 4x AAA batteries for up to 3 hours at a time. As an added bonus, it gives an incredible view of a moon…. err, space station: the Death Star in all its full Episode IV glory! The original version stands a tiny but cute 3.9 x 8.3 x 3.5” (100 x 210 x 88mm) in size, so it’s easily portable and will be a perfect addition to those Blu-Ray re-release movie-watching marathons you have planned.
The high-performance version has been upgraded on many fronts. With dimensions of 5.5 x 6.3 x 11" (140(w) x 210 (h) x 280mm), it's larger and is capable of diplaying not only the Death Star but also comes with 3 other star disks that feature an X-Wing Fighter, the Milleneum Falcon or a Star Destroyer.along with a variety of other stars and planets from our own Solar System. In addition to the top projector, there's also a front projector that's able to display 5 of your favorite charaters from Star Wars but you'll have to voice-over your own distress message. And best of all, insomuch as beeps and boops are considered speech, the ability to talk along with a rotating head and an adjustable front leg to give you a more realistic experience.
